MCC and APS Courses

Here at Aero Locarno we will mould you into the perfect airline pilot. Our instructors know a lot about what various airlines today are looking for in a pilot. The skills we will provide you include not only a set of technical skills but also non-technical, making you the perfect candidate for the profession.

The aim of our courses is to make you proficient in a multi-crew co-operation environment, in order to operate multi engine aircraft safely, emphasizing the development of non-technical skills required for working in a Multi Pilot Aircraft (MPA). Content:

  • Leadership/"followership" and authority
  • Personality, attitude and motivation
  • Effective and clear communication during flight
  • Crew co-ordination procedures
  • Use of checklists
  • Mutual supervision and teamwork
  • Call-out procedures
  • Operation of aircraft systems
  • Management of normal, abnormal and emergency conditions
  • Optimum decision making

APS: Airline Pilot Standards (Enhanced MCC)

It is not a mandatory requirement, but it is very recommended in light of airline selections, refining your level of competence. The structure of the course has been developed in conjunction with our partner The Airline Pilot Club.

If MCC will train you to airline piloting standards, the new APS MCC is an alternative to the conventional MCC course with several jet orientated items included. The course is believed to better prepare you for your first airline job. Not just in a generic SIM, but in a narrow body one.

In addition to the items mentioned above, the enhanced MCC APS consists of:

  • Further developed CRM training as per Part Ops
  • Advanced swept-wing jet aircraft training
  • Airline-oriented training
  • Aircraft flight path management automation
  • Workload management
