Aero Locarno has partnered EPST for using an advanced selection tool for professional pilots: the decision came from the large number of candidates willing to become a pilot but not fulfilling minimum ability required to pass airlines selections. Intention of Aero Locarno is being efficient in early selections of future pilots even before flying the first lesson, reasonably ensuring that after the completion of the training the pilots will positively pass airlines selection process.

The selection process is made by:

•  Day 1 – happening in Mendrisio or Locarno Airport
• Technical comprehension, ability and pilot aptitude screening (Compass) / In English
• Psychometric personality test (CPP) / in your mother tongue

•  Day 2 - happening in Mendrisio
• 30’ flight simulator training capacity assessment

Indirectly the tests will also evaluate your English knowledge. The Compass test and the CCP are all done on a PC and the results are available after the candidate has completed the tests and the data has been uploaded to the server. All tests results are confidential and shared with the candidate only.

Following the flight simulator assessment, an overall evaluation of the candidate will be available in few days together with a suggested flight training path.

Cost: 280 CHF for the 2 days assessment
