What Will You Learn and Achieve?

The EASA ATPL Integrated course is a comprehensive and intensive training program that will cover all the theoretical and practical aspects of becoming a competent Airline Pilot. You will learn:

The procedures and regulations of flying in different airspace and environments.

The skills and techniques of flying various aircraft types and models, from single-engine to multi-engine, from piston to jet, from visual to instrument.

On top of technical and procedural topics, the course focuses on The competencies and attitudes of working as a professional pilot and development of non-technical skills such as decision-making, captaincy, situation awareness, leadership, communication, teamwork, workload management and problem solving.

The EASA ATPL license issued by the Swiss Civil Aviation Authority, which is the highest level of pilot certification and the standard requirement for most airlines.

Accumulated at least 220 hours of flight time, including 100 hours of pilot-in-command time and 50 hours of instrument time.

Where Does The Training Happen?

Theoretical training happens in Locarno, whilst SIM training happens in Mendrisio, next to the Italian border. Our location is very well connected by train to and from Italy and the major cities in Switzerland. Just 50’ from downtown Milan or Malpensa Airport.

Practical training happens both at Lugano Airport and Locarno Airport.

Theoretical Training

AELO is KSA100 compliant

Aero Locarno carries out integrated ATPL courses with full classroom training and dedicated syllabus / theoretical e-books. It takes approximately 6 months to complete this part, together with 600 hours of classroom review. Our professional instructors are also available on call or via e-mail at any time during your course. In addition, during the class training and review you will discuss in detail your self-studies and clarify all the doubts you might have.

Practical Training

Flying takes place in our simulator devices and in our SEP/MEP fleet.

Courses start:
Locarno: February, July, September and November
Cuneo: April and October

Training is split in 5 phases which shall be completed within 16 months from the beginning, mainly based on your training progress:

Phase 1 – ATPL Theory and VFR flying basics (in Locarno) – 6 months

Phase 2 – Consolidation – 2 months

Phase 3 – CPL and Hour building – 3 months

Phase 4 – IFR MEP – 4 months

Phase 5 – MCC APS – 1 month
