That is our latest jewel, both for your IFR training and your last mile towards the airline pilot’s career with APS, MCC and JOC.

The state of the art SIM that is manufactured by MPS. Already well-known in the airline environment as a procedures trainer for recurrent and initial training on type, it is now also available for few established flight schools. And it wins every challenge with the other competitors. Even if we certify it as FNPT II only, it is a real device reproducing a 737 NG.

Aero Locarno schedules regular courses and rents it out to other flying schools and airlines interested in training pilots at a cheaper cost compared with FFS. Our SIM is also the perfect solution for pilot selection and for developing and practising company standard operating procedures (SOPs).

That is our choice: for SIM training Aero Locarno employs Type Rating Instructor or Examiner (TRI/E) only: the highest level of experience and teaching techniques for the students aiming for a smooth transition from the basic flying school to the Type Rating on a complex aircraft. The perfect device for the APS (Airline Pilot Standards) course, a kind of Enhanced MCC.
