Overview of the PPL training

Rent and fly a small aeroplane with friends and family or take your first step towards a professional career? This is the licence for you!

Once obtained, the private pilot's licence gives all holders the opportunity to rent and fly piston aeroplanes independently, covering distances of up to five hours.

Courses are available in Italian, English and German.

Pre-requisites? Physical fitness for flying and a lot of fun!

Theoretical Training

Maximum flexibility. Classroom courses are held at our facilities: instructors adapt to your time availability.
Classroom lessons - tailor-made!
Difficulty studying alone? During the hours spent in class, you will deepen what you have learnt on your own.
Subject-specific key points will be covered.

Blended Learning

Blended Learning is a combination of traditional classroom lessons and, if necessary, distance learning lessons. Much of the study takes place completely independently and at your own pace, making the course suitable for anyone with other commitments that prevent them from attending classes regularly.

Distance Learning

With the help of a syllabus, teaching materials and the Distance Learning platform, you can follow the lessons as if you were in a classroom. The training lasts on average 2-3 months and requires a commitment of approximately 6-9 hours per week. During the course you will be accompanied by professional and qualified instructors who will be available to you by telephone or e-mail during the entire course period.

The examination takes place in two parts. The first five subjects are examined in the middle of the course, the remaining four subjects at the end. A prerequisite for enrolment in the FOCA examination is to have passed the preliminary examinations.

As soon as you are ready! Theoretical training never stops during the year.

Practical training

The practical training is certainly much more fun than the theoretical one, ranging from local flights to real alpine and lowland navigation.
Lessons take place in 2- or 4-seat piston aircraft (Sonaca S201 or Diamond Star DA40) accompanied by a qualified instructor. However, about halfway through and depending on your skills, the time will come to take solo flights, and the instructor will leave you alone at the controls.
It is the most beautiful moment, which you will never forget!
