The Practical PPL(A) Training

The practical training takes place in 10 levels. You start with the four basic flight elements: Horizontal flight, climb, descent and turns. In the next stage, you will learn how to take off and land the aircraft. The course continues with an introduction to navigation flight. A first highlight will be your first solo flight.

Next you will learn how to approach airfields that are still unknown to you. Now you will consolidate what you have learned with longer navigation flights to other airfields and airports. You will also be instructed in flight tactics in the Alps and in radio navigation procedures.

Furthermore, navigation flights alone on board are on the programme. Another highlight will be the 270km solo navigation flight, during which you will make stopovers at two airfields.

The final part of the training is the examination training and the practical flight test with an examiner from the Federal Office of Civil Aviation.

The entire training takes place according to a clear and concise training programme in accordance with EASA specifications. This guarantees that you are always aware of your level of training and that your training is recognised in all member states of EASA (most European states are members).
