Would you like to share your enthusiasm for flying? Become a flight instructor, just chose the flight training role you like the most!

Flight Instructor Course (FI)

The flight instructor rating is a professional licence for pilots with at least a commercial pilot education (CPL) teaching either the theoretical and practical training.

As a flight instructor you can be employed with a full time or a part time contract. This allows a great flexibility for people willing to keep their main activity dedicating their free time to the flying school. After an initial theoretical and practical admission test, you will be taught techniques to teach your skills and knowledge to the students. From the first introductory flight to the final examination, you will accompany your student through the entire training. And you won't easily forget the first solo flight of your first student!

The course includes:

  • 25 hours of teaching and learning instruction;
  • 100 hours of theoretical training, including revision of technical knowledge, the preparation of lesson plans and the development of classroom/simulator instructional skills;
  • 30 hours of flight instruction on single-engine aeroplanes.

The theoretical training of the course consists of 5 hours of Advanced UPRT knowledge instruction and 3 hours of related instructor knowledge. The flight training will consist of at least three flights to allow the student to cover all the necessary manouvers.
